Model and task
Describe the model, capability, task, or failure mode the footage should support.
Dataset evaluation
A controlled evaluation helps both sides confirm the data, rights, quality, technical requirements, and intended use before a larger commitment.
Five steps
Each stage narrows uncertainty before broader access is considered.
Set the terms for confidential discussion, document review, and controlled sample access.
Review a small set of footage to understand perspective, environment, continuity, and content.
Define the rights, quality, privacy, technical, and project requirements the data must meet.
Test a controlled subset in the buyer’s workflow and measure it against the agreed criteria.
If the evaluation succeeds, agree on accepted footage, delivery, permitted use, and access terms.
Before the review
A clear use case makes the first review faster and helps avoid testing footage that cannot answer the buyer’s question.
Describe the model, capability, task, or failure mode the footage should support.
Identify the industries, settings, objects, actions, duration, and visual conditions that matter.
Share required formats, resolution, metadata, privacy controls, delivery needs, and evaluation measures.
Evaluation outcome
The goal is to decide what material is suitable, under what conditions, and whether production access makes sense.
Does the footage contain the perspective, continuity, environments, tasks, and quality the project needs?
How much of the reviewed material meets the agreed acceptance criteria rather than only the represented archive total?
What supporting records, privacy safeguards, access limits, and permitted-use terms are required?
If the data fits, what should be delivered, how should it be accessed, and what license terms should apply?
Share what you need to test, and we’ll outline the appropriate next step.
